And then I realized. Love is not always about perseverance, Love is also the art of letting go.

Sinayang ko..

Sinayang ko yung chance to be with him, to be happy.

I pushed him away.

I did not dare to believe his words.

I refused to take a chance on him.

Why should I subject myself to possible pain?

To prospect of disappointment?

Kaya di na ako umasa and I turned my back on him.

"Pumunta ka na lang sa iba."

I uttered those words despite knowing na ako lang ang gusto nya.

Ang tanga ko noh?

He endured it though, tiniis nya mga masasakit kong salita.

But then.. he left. After all that, he left.

If seryoso siya, bakit siya umalis?

And then I realized.

Love is not always about perseverance.

Love is also the art of letting go.

In the end, he let go. Ang sakit.

I told him "no" when I wanted to say "yes".

I asked him to "go" when I wanted to scream "stay".

I declared "can't" when it should have been "wouldn't".

All those contradictions to protect myself from torment.

But in the end, when he did leave, I ended up where I tried to protect myself from. Nasaktan rin lang pala.

I should’ve told him how I really felt before he left.

So pag dating sa pag-ibig, huwag pakipot.

Say what you need to say. Express what you want to express.

Huwag yung malabo.

If you think s/he is worth it, wisely take the risk. Take the chance.

Get rid of "What ifs?"

Because feelings of regret, of chances not taken, can be as painful as wounds from trust abandoned.
